Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8
As we approach the day with thanksgiving I can’t stop and not think about all the things that we should be grateful for! As I see the leaves falling off the tree in this beautiful state that we are visiting, I can’t help to think about change, how seasons change. How times change, how life just changes. As I was running this morning I was thinking about where I was then and where I am now! I was overwhelmed by His love in the moment. I was taken back.. I don’t deserve any of it but He still loves me so that he gave! He gave when I didn’t deserve it!
I think about how over 2 years ago Thanksgiving was one of the hardest times for me and now I sit back and I am able to see God’s restoration. I am able to say: “The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:9”
I know that many people are doing a challenge for this month and I think it is an awesome one. He is such a good God but I sit back and think we shouldn’t only do this for 30 days of November but each day there has to be a new song of worship in my mouth. A song of gratitude. Each day I am drawn to just give Him all the glory and praise for all that He has done. As a beautiful worship song goes…” I will sing and not be silent”. He has given me song in the good and in the challenging time but as long as I have breath in my lungs I will sing of His goodness and of his promises and never be silent!
So today as you send out those cards, emails, text messages, social media posts take a second to think about what God has done in your life. Take a moment to think about the breath that you still have in your lungs and give Him Praise!!! Take a second and think about how amazing He is and how he can restore! Give Him praise.. don’t be silent about it! Even when you don’t understand why… He is still good! Be patient and know He is working.
Today I write and I can say that He is good, was good, and will always be good!
Today I sit and think about all the amazing things that He has done for my family and I and I am beyond Grateful!!!
A sound mind
