Beautiful and Fruitful

Giving birth is such a beautiful thing. As I see all these women, that surround me, transition from their big bellies to holding their promise, I began to see something deeper and yet practical in all of this. The reality and practicality of giving birth is that birth welcomes a beautiful promise, a beautiful miracle but the one giving birth does not radiate with beauty. The sweat, the pain, the exhaustion has taken a toll on this woman. The fantasy of a beautiful hairstyle and perfect makeup remaining through the entire time of delivery dwindles rather quickly as contraction pains break out.  Hours of pushing takes a toll on the beauty makeover.

That is a direct correlation with our spiritual life.  This is the reality of this walk with Jesus. Your walk with Jesus must be fruitful. There needs to be things that He births in you: sermons, books, fine arts, songs, teachings, and so much more that YOU are willing to deliver! If not, this journey with Him is considered barren! Being barren is something that people on this earth cringe to be labeled as, but yet I find Christians who are comfortable being so complacent and barren. Feeling that mediocracy is sufficient and maintaining that mentality all the days here on earth.

“Sing, O barren one, who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than the children of her who is married,” says the LORD.
Isaiah 54:1

Being fruitful is costly. You will not always look amazing, feel amazing, sound amazing but your miracle that will be birthed will out weight all those feelings of doubt and pain. You will be able to look back and think, if this is what is produced from all that pain, loneliness, sorrow, and stress then I WILL do this again. I am willing to go through the process because the end result changed me. It changed my relationship with Jesus to lean  and depend on him deeper and it will bring LIFE to a nation.

Prayer: Father I pray that I am fruitful all the days of my life! Remove all complacency and show me how to birth out miracles, signs, and wonders. The process is not easy but it is worth it. Remove all barren spirits within me and my legacy.
